Indoor air quality check
Hi guys,
My wife is allergic to our cat, but here recently she seems to be getting much worse. She is coughing, sneezing, and has a stuffy nose more now then ever. It only hits her when she is home and mostly at night. Is there any indoor air quality kit I can buy to see if anything inside our house is making her more sick? I would like to note that she is 14 weeks pregnant and that may be part of the cause. But doing an air quality check would be a good piece of mind. If there is no good do it yourself style kit, what companies are out that to hire for this sort of thing. We live in central Ohio. I would also like to point out that we had new quality windows installed this year so the house should be sealed up better. Any help or advice would be appreciated Derrick |

Look for a reputable environmental testing company. Kind of strange that you would keep a cat in the house if one of you is allergic to it.

If you own the place, get a Aprilaire installed. If renting, look at getting one of the Honeywell room air purifier. Keep in mind, that the room units are noisy. The Aprilaire, you would have to run the air handler fan all of the time to have them work the best.
