I need a structural engineer

Hey all,
So, I am at the phase of my basement finishing project that I need to punch some holes in the basement wall for some egress windows. I have plans set and ready to go, but in order to get the permits I need a structural engineer to sign/stamp off on the plans. I live in Ohio and I have had some problems trying to find one. I can find all sorts of commercial/industrial engineers, but I am having a tough time with the residential engineers. Any suggestions on a good structural engineer or contacts I can use? I have no problems paying for the service.

I would contact local civil engineering firms and inquire about their services. Structural engineering is a discipline of civil engineering.

good luck!

An architect should be able to help you with this also. Try the AIA site for someone small and local.
