How to repair cracked concrete stair?

I just noticed yesterday that the concrete step leading to our main entrance has a crack about 12" long. It seems as though it was caused by water expansion in our lovely winter climate this year.

What is the recommended way of repairing this? It's almost simply cosmetic in nature, as the piece that is about to fall off is, as most, 1" thick by 3" wide by 12" long. It's just that it's the main entrance and would look rather unsightly.

Thanks.

How to repair cracked concrete stair?

I just realized, the best way to describe what I would like to do is that I would like to "glue" the piece back on to the existing stair, at the same time, hopefully preventing the same piece from falling off again.

Would this be something that is recommended (If you need a postal code, enter K2G6W4):

??

Thanks.
