How to Remove Screen Door?

My screen door has one screw that is "hidden" behind the storm door. Do I have to remove the entire inner door simply to remove the screen door? I only need another inch or so. Is there a release that will allow the storm door to open wider. It is a 20 year old Anderson.

Be carefull when rescreening. What's going to happen is the middle of the frame is going to want to bow in as you roll the spline in place.
If you can get a measurement at the top or bottom of the door and cut a scrap piece of wood to lay in place to hold the frame in place it will not bow in.

While you have it out inspect the rollers and make sure there not worn out or have stopped turning. Spray them with some silicone.
Clean out the track and inspect for damage.

It is a sliding patio door. I'll try to post a picture but I am not too tech savvy.

It should be 'spring-loaded'. Usually lifting the door will allow you to swing the bottom outward.
