How to pickup 3300lbs of flooring?

I was just about to hit the submit button on the order when I noticed the "ship to store" message and the final weight/size. (3338lbs) Most trucks can't even come close to that and the home depot truck has a weight limit of I think 1500. The boxes are six feet long too so I'd have to make like 30 trips in my car to get it all. Any ideas?

Know anybody with a pickup truck? Ask them to help and rent/borrow a trailer from somewhere. I pulled my 4,180lb Buick 1/3 of the way across Texas with a 90 model Silverado. I rented the trailer for $30 a day.

Pay for delivery-----usually $65----why would you even think about picking it up yourself?

Agreed. My answer was assuming that delivery wasn't available.

Been there, done that. Don't know the total weight, but the hardwood flooring for my house was 68 cartons. Worth every penny to have it delivered and fork-lifted into the house.

Curbside Delivery starting at: $195.00
Inside Delivery to the first room starting at: $340.00

Probably worth it if I take truck rental and time to get it.

I take it you'll be storing the boxes in one of the rooms to get conditioned until you install it. what is the span and size of the floor joists, and the size of the room. don't want to over load the floor. how many boxes (to figure out weight per box)?

Well, I sure thought about it. Especially while I was carrying cartons up to the loft before the stairs were in. That was just four years ago, but I sure couldn't do it now. Getting old sux.
