How do you fabricate a countertop
Hi All,
I read online when fabricating a countertop you should install the laminate in the following order: first--side edges, second---front edges, last---top... Why does it matter in what order you apply the laminate and what would happen if you didnt apply in the order they reccommend... Thanks Tonyc56 |

That order provides the most protection for the seams and is the most aesthetically appealing(IMO). It also prevent water from seeping down from the top surface into the side seams.

Jerry got it. To test it for yourself, think of the laminate in thicker terms. Take a couple scrap pieces of 3/4" plywood. Put the top on first, and remember you can only go to the edge, and each next step will overlay the edges of the previous step.
