How do I remove this ceiling light fixture?

I killed the power, unscrewed the dome or "globe," and removed the only 2 screws holding it to the ceiling. It is still up there as good as ever. What am I missing...?

Thanks!

Remove the two nuts highlighted in yellow.

I did remove those, it still won't budge.

I should probably be more specific, where you highlighted there were 2 long screws which I removed. I don't know what else is holding it to the ceiling.

Center nut piece is holding it up? Or the fixture is painted to the ceiling.

You were right it was just painted to the ceiling. I tried prying at it before posting but it wouldn't budge.. but after you suggested it again I thought I'd go at it more like a man this time and it came off.. haha. Thanks for the help!

Sometimes it's a simple solution.

When in doubt always take a full, two-handed swing with the claw end of your framing hammer. Works for stuck lights, stupid laborers, tax collectors, sub-contractors, etc...

When all else fails get a bigger hammer.

It's better that you asked anyways, instead of taking the chance of accidentally ripping something out that shouldn't have been ripped out. There could have been something obvious that you just weren't seeing. Now you know, and anyone else that comes across the same problem can find this thread and also know what it may be.
