how do i measure clapboard?


i have clapboard thats 5 1/2 wide...how much is 1 sq.

multiply 5-1/2" by the length of the pieces of siding. for example if you have a 5-1/2" exposure, (actually probably is 6" wide, which is what I will use for this example) and the pieces are 16' long each piece of siding would be 8 s/f so it would take 12 and 1/2 piece of this material to equal one square, which is 100 s/f.
