All Saints Day is approaching and I have to clean and paint my grandparents tomb. The tomb is over 50 years old. The cemetary doesn't allow pressure washers. Short of scraping the paint off, is there an easier way to get old paint off of a cement tomb?
I have had great success with a paint stripper product from Home Depot - "Rinse or Peel" multi layer paint remover. I used it on a fifty year old foundation and by giving it some extra time and a double coat the paint came right off. I did not however experience the peel part of the name and used a gentle hose water flow. It turned the paint to "milk" and with a soft bristle brush it came clean. If they wont let you use a simple hose I don't know how it will work for you.
They do allow the use of water hoses. Thank you very much.
