Hi
Im new to DIY but find this an awesome forum.
Anyway can anyone please tell if its possible to make this hole around this water valve bigger?
Its in such a tight space all I can think of is filing the wood...
I dont want the cabinet to fall one day and break the pipe!
THANK YOU!

if you can get a file, or more properly, a rasp in there, you could do that. I would use either a die grinder bit or an abrasive roll in a dremel.

If you cant get anything in the opening, you can take a drill bit and drill a series of holes in an arc and then cut in between them with a razor knife and then use the rasp or other abrasive rotary tool as I first suggested to clean of the opening.

depending what that is, you might be able to just use a razor knife. A lot of cabinet backs are nothing more that luan and can be cut through with successive cuts with a razor knife

Well my suggestion would be as follows:
1) Drill ½’’ holes tight together all around the existing hole and remove the debris.
2) Use a multi tool and cut your way around to make your hole larger.
3) Use a hammer and wood chisel to cut around existing hole
4) Disconnect fitting and remove cabinet if possible and drill with hole saw to desired diameter
Now I’m sure someone else will chime in and give you some more idea’s
