How to cut back this 2x4 behind dishwasher?

Behind my dishwasher there is a 2 x 4 piece of wood on the ground that is taking up too much space. I would like to cut it back a bit about 1 half inch or 1 inch but there isn't much room to get a saw back there. Any idea how I could cut it? Without damaging the copper pipes on top of it?

a dremel/die grinder would work if you could find the correct wheel for it yeah

How to cut back this 2x4 behind dishwasher?

OMG...so I realized that I actually only need some space for the back wheels so I took a jigsaw...that was an epic fail... then i took a 1" hole saw and some chisels and started hacking away at it and it sorta worked! I can get the new dishwasher back another 1/2" at least. God it was painful work though.

A multi-tool would have done the job.

I am as happy as a pig in slop with the one I got from Sears.
