How to?

Do you have on-line instructions for how to build and attach a garage to the back of your garage?

For some reason, that question leaves me speechless.

Tom: That is a very broad question, not easily answered on a forum. I'd suggest you snag a good construction book and get some pointers. It may be advisable for you to hire and work w/ an experienced builder as the gopher.

To Be Honest with you, that is not what should be characterized (or viewed) as a DIY type project. There are many structural particulars to such an addition and doing it correctly - also dependent on how the new addition areas (and its roof lines) tie-into the existing structure (and how/where - the new portions - may rest on the existing structure's framework).

Most Home Owners (if they don't have framing-experienced friends or family members - to directly participate helping) will hire a professional framing contractor or GC to do the framing, attachment-process, plywood installs (and posssibly the roofing portion) of such a more-advanced project - and then try and finish up the rest of the work themselves - as a DIY oriented project.
