House Fire - How long till insurance co payout?

So it turns out that all that electrical work I've been doing I didn't actually get permits for. Last night at 12:20am we had a house fire. Thankfully, we got the dogs and the fish tank out of the house and no one was hurt.

I'll post pics later, when I get it together a little.

I had a similar experience today. My house burned down tomorrow, and the insurance paid in full yesterday!
