Hot tub on wood flooring??

We have bamboo flooring glued to a cement floor indoors. We want to put a "plug and play" hot tub on top. How can we keep the floor safe from water from the hot tub?

You can protect your bamboo flooring from water damage by sealing it with a waterproof sealer. This can be done immediately after installation so that it will set into the bamboo itself. However, you will want to periodically reseal it every few years to ensure that water cannot seep into any of the different cracks. Talk to the manufacture of the bamboo flooring to find what waterproof sealer is best for your floor.

Hot tub on wood flooring??

Not an expert here, but I would be just as concerned with the amount of humidity and moisture the hot tub puts into the air.

You might want to research this a bit first. I would go to the floor manufacturers website and see if you can get any info there.

Your floors will be fine until the tub leaks then their ruined and all things leak with time. Epson is right about humidity in your home, even with a well fitting cover you will have tons of evaporation and chlorine gas emiting from your tub. The only times I have seen indoor tubs that were not problematic is when exhaust fans were used.
