One of these flat screen TV mounts?

http://www.lowes.com/pd_364521-80564...7C1&facetInfo=

I am considering mounting my 46'' Sharp Aquos TV to the wall in my living room. One review said you didn't even need to mount on a stud with this...which may or may not be the case for me.

Is this a decent mount? If not, any suggestions?

Do you play the lottery a lot? That's what I equate mounting your nice expensive flat panel tv into drywall only, no studs to. It may sit up there for years.... it may come crashing down in 10 minute.

Do yourself a favor and instead of buying that ripoff thing at lowe's, head over to monoprice.com and buy one of their mounts. I just bought a tilting, swiveling 175lb capacity mount from there for less than those 2 dinky pieces of sheetmetal cost.

I agree 100% as I spent $120 on a mount that didn't seem to be able to hold up a 12" TV. Returned it after finding monoprice found a decent large mount for $45 delivered! Great place!

You might also check Wal-Mart. They sell all sorts of tv wall mounts. So does Best Buy.

Monoprice.com for sure, their mounts are very nice and a fraction of the price you'll pay at a store.

They do indeed - they cost about 3x what the monoprice ones cost so unless you are in a hurry I would steer clear.
