Hardie backer board

I am installing a new tiled shower stall and I used GE silicone 2 on the shower drain as well as the seams in the Backer board, well after 3 days the silicone is still sticky, I called GE and this is a bad batch of silicone, so now I have to take the backer board off the walls to get the shower pan up to get the bad silicone off the drain so it won't leak (second story shower) my question is since I screwed the backer board on can I reuse it and screw the screws back in the same holes or do I have to buy new backer board? This is the first time I have used the backer board so I am not sure about reusing it.
Thanks in advance.

Hardie backer board

As long as the board is not damaged you can just reattach it.

Hardie backer board

What's better for a shower area to be tiled? Hardiebacker, cement board or the Georgia pacific blue densguard?

EDIT: Ignore this message - after doing a search it appears its just a matter of opinion with each system having its advocates.
