Gutter problem

Hi All,
This is my first post here. Looking for some ideas. I have a problem with the gutters on my home. The issue is that they were not installed correctly. They were installed to low below the roof apron and the fascia board so that water just runs behind the fascia board and goes behind the gutters. See a photo linked below.

I am thinking of getting some aluminum and mounting it under the roof apron and making it long enough so that it extends into the gutter. This should allow the water to flow into the gutter. Any other thoughts???

Thanks in advance.

A) Improperly installed drip edge, B) gutter installed too low Normally that would have had a strap hanger. The only quick fix would be to cut strips of coil stock to run between the drip edge and the inside of the gutter. If you dont have a brake, Petit tool sells the precut coil in rolls ready to go.

OR, remove the gutter, fur out the bottom edge of the facia, wrap the facia with aluminum and properly re-install the gutter.
