Got kids? Little, impressionable kids?

I've been redoing my living room ceiling and recessed lights, its been taking awhile.........1 of the three sets of lights is disconnected, but my 4 year old must have thought 2 sets were out. The other day, he turned on the 2nd working set and ran inside to say "you did a perfect job Daddy!"

It was great!

I have a picture somewhere of my youngest helping me install a ceiling fan. He was about 6. Later on he asked if he could help and I told him he helped most by staying out of the way. He soon asked the same question, and stated that staying out of the way was not helping him learn anything. Now that he is in college, can't get any help at all. Enjoy it while you can!!!

My to be 4 years old want me to drive away at once when I drop him to school and he walk inside to his class by himself rather than me "following" him, even though he is not able to unzip his jacket yet. I have to wait in the car eyeing him into the school... then when the bell ring... go inside to unzip for him...

I cannot imagine what would happen when he is in college....

When my 14 year old daughter sees me working in the basement, she comes by and say "mom that's "sick".

Which means "mom that really cool."

Enjoy your little, while you still can understand them.
