brownplayboy310 Newbie   Join Date: Sep 2012 Posts: 1	Is This A Good Beam To Hang my Bag On? I'm hanging my 100lb heavybag and figured this would be a good beam to hang it on. I'm a little worried though, I just don't want to cause any damage to my house (it's brand new). The beam is in my garage (obviously) right below my office. Thanks.

From your picture, that beam looks too small to be any sort of structural support given the length it spans. It's also oriented in the wrong direction. Did it flex or sag any when you installed the bag?
