Glass shower door slid out of its frame

As I was finishing up my shower earlier today and wiping the beads of water away with a towel, I noticed that the door started sliding down out of its brace. I kept pushing it back up but it kept sliding down again. I had to pull the door out entirely because I knew it might break if hanging there at an awkward angle.

It seems like some sort of silicone had been holding it in place. Not screws or anything, as I might have thought. I'm really disappointed that this happened considering the fact there haven't been many showers taken. I just bought the house "as-is", it was built four years ago and had sat here unoccupied.

I've been all over the Net and all over this site, but I still cannot find precise instructions as to how to overcome this particular problem. What do I use to get that door stuck back up in there? Anyone have any solutions?

Thank you! eric

Can you take a picture or two and post them here?

Basically you can see in the pic with my hand, how the glass has slid out of the metal brace. There's no metal below or on the sides, just a pane of glass hanging there. Or was hanging there, until it slid out.

Clean both the glass and the track very well. Then go to a glass suppply store and buy the adhesive they suggest, and set the glass back in the track.

Was there any rubber gasket holding the glass in place before?

No, there was no gasket, just the silicone or whatever it was. Thanks both, I'll certainly reach out to Contractors Wardrobe and see what I can find out...
