GFI wont reset

Hi...I have a GFI plug in my garage, its the only plug in the garage. It tripped last night, now it wont stay reset. I left a small car battery charger plugged into it all night by accident. Also the outside outlets are tied into it too. But the outside outlets are covered by rain gaurds so I know moister in those outlets cant be a problem. Also, I bought a new plug and it does the same. Any help is appreciated. John

GFI wont reset

Disconnect the load connections and try to reset it. If it resets then you have a problem somewhere on the receptacles connected to the load side. Could be water in one of the outside receptacles. Could be bugs inside one of those receptacles.

GFI wont reset

Check the down stream outlets as advised above. Sounds like you might find a fried roach or lizard.
