Genie screw drive

I have an older model IS550A that had the end bell bearing go bad. I ordered a new end bell and am putting it back together but I find I have forgotten where all of the parts go. If someone could tell me the sequence of parts internally, I would appreciate it. There is the armature, rubber washer, 2 metal washers, a spring, and a cup shaped piece of hard plastic. Thanks If I had to guess, I would put rubber washer on armature to screw end, then one metal washer, spring, cup, and washer to end bell. Close?

You should be able to find the owners manual, w/parts picture, online at Genie.

Genie screw drive

I have not been able to find a manual online anywhere that show the arrangement of parts inside the motor. I was hoping a tech that was familiar with the insides of the motor could point me in the right direction. Thanks

I have installed MANY of those Genie openers over the years, and a search of my file cabinet shows nothing of help. I suspect that since they have been making those openers for years, little has changed inside the box. Maybe one of their other manuals has the info you seek.
