Gas Pressure Issue?

Yesturday, we were getting ready to cook dinner and the gas stove would not light properly. It seemed as though the gas was very low. The reason I say that is because I would try to light the oven and it would not fully light. I could see a very little flame on the output, but it was about a half-inch high. At that point I would light the stove top and it would bring the oven burner down to about a fourth of an inch high.

This concerned me because I also smelled gas when it was coming out of the oven.

I got curious and found that my water heater pilot also had gone out. I re-lite the pilot on the water heater and it was coming out like a bic lighter and wasn't very strong.

Later that night. The flame on the Water Heater was high. I went to try and turn on the Stove Top and it would almost starve the Water Heater of gas. You could hear the flame go up and down depending on what I was doing with the Stove top.

Other notes: It has been pretty cold outside, down around 15 degrees for the last 3 or 4 days.

Any advice or information would be greatly appreciated.

Thank You!!!

Tim

Gas Pressure Issue?

I would immediately call and report this to the gas company. There may be a problem with their or your supply line. They will send someone out to check.
