Garage door opener maintenance

Before I tear into it, I was wanting to try and do some maintenance on a Genie Trac Drive, Model-250.

I don't have a manual for it when I bought the house. Where can I find a manual online and some information on how to go about maintaining it?

The website lists manuals, but none for a 250. Looks like it's time for a phone call.

Garage door opener maintenance

The open grunts a lot, especially when it is cold out, and I have to help the door up, otherwise it won't open all the way, is there some maintenance that needs to be done to correct the problem, or is it about shot?

Disconnect the opener and test the operation of the door. It should open and close easily by hand. If it does not you need door maintenance rather than opener maintenance. Lubrication of rollers and spring adjustment.

That part I have done previously, and so I guess it would be the opener side of things......?
