Garage door opener
I have an EZ-LIFT garage door opener installed from ages ago. We just bought a new reciever for it, but need to know which wires make it go up, down, and stop.

I haven't been able to find any info on the EZ-Lift except that they were probably made by Stanley and don't seem to be made any more. I am assuming the set you bought was a replacement universal style. I would image if you had bought a universal receiver transmitter set it came with its own power supply and instructions. Most universal controllers are wired parallel with the existing door control switch. (your manual button on the wall). Residential openers generally use only one button (two wires) for this control. The original opener receiver was probably originally powered by the opener its self. These extra wires would not be used on the universal type. If your opener differs then you will have problem's finding a compatible universal replacement remote set.
