Front Window Ideas?

Hey guys! First time on the forum!
Just bought my first home and had a quick question.
I have wood frame around a large front window and my realtor said it should be treated and painted(he said it was cedar). I was wondering, what are your thoughts and ideas for the front window?

-should it just be stained or painted?
-should it be left the way it is?

Thanks in advance!!

Since none of the other trim is stained, I would paint it, keep things consistent.

If you like the natural Cedar look you could just oil it. It realy comes down to what do you want to look at?

I would cap it with white PVC coil or just plain white aluminum to match your fascia and the trim around your entry and garage door.
