French Doors: Marvin vs. Andersen 400

I'm looking to replace existing french doors in my third story bedroom and am looking at both the Marvin and Andersen 400 series doors. The doors would be in swinging and would have significant exposure to wind and rain, as they would open to an uncovered deck.

I got a quote of about $3,500 (w/out install) for the Marvin and $2,900 (w/out install) for the Andersen at Home Depot.

Is the Marvin worth the extra $$$? I feel more comfortable with having Marvin contractors install the door vs. Home Depot installers installing the Andersen, as I question the quality of the Home Depot installers.

Any thoughts would be appreciated!!

Andersen 400 would be good choice.

Agree. Marvin makes a nice product, but I am not sure it is worth that much more. Andersen Frenchwood would be my choice.

In my opinion, if you can afford it, yes.

And Marvin employees do not come here and spam us either.

Nobody says you have to use their installers.
