Which is first concrete paint or floor leveling compound?

hswerdfe Member   Join Date: Sep 2012 Posts: 37	Which is first concrete paint or floor leveling compound? I was going to paint my concrete basement floor with a moisture barrier paint. but I was also going to pour some self levelling concrete to fill in a few bad spots. Which should I do first? thanks

PoleCat Member     Join Date: Sep 2009 Location: Dayton, Ohio Posts: 340	Which is first concrete paint or floor leveling compound? If that water proof paint is cement based don't expect it to survive long on the floor. It is very brittle and will fracture easily.

md2lgyk Member   Join Date: Jan 2009 Location: WV Posts: 2,102	Which is first concrete paint or floor leveling compound? Have you considered using an epoxy compound such as is used on garage floors?? Also, one of the companies that does spray-on bedliners for trucks (Line-X I think) has products for use on concrete floors and patios.
