Fireplace mortar

My home has a prefab fireplace that is now a few years old. I believe the mfg is Martin. Recently I have noticed cracks in the brick liner of the steel firebox. I think it's time to re-mortar the lining to make it safe for next years fires. What I'm not sure of is the proper mortar or cement to use for the job. Any advise?

Hi and welcome to the forum.

you need refractory cement, available at your local hardware or BB store.
3,000 is what i used last time i think it was. i can't find the bucket right now.
