Outdoor fireplace

Ok, I started to build an outdoor fireplace. The base and fire box is built and the smoke chamber is about 10 inches from lentil. The flue is 12 X 12 and 3 feet. I burned a small fire and was getting smoke out of the front. There was a bit of a breeze however when the breeze stopped smoke and small ambers came out the top of the flue. My question is if I take a second flue and move the other one and have them side by side would the fix the problem. The fire box is 30X30 and 18 deep. I am not looking for much heat displacement.
Thanks.
