Fan question..

I have a regular hampton bay fan with light kit controlled by either pull chain or wall switch. Is there a way to make this fan work with a remote? If so how difficult and what is involled in the install? Thanks

Fan question..

you can buy an add on remote control unit, but you have to take the fan down to install it.

you probably won't have to take the fan all the way "down". just loosen the screws that hold the housing on, and let it come down, the fan will still be connected to the mounting bracket, and you can insert the remote module and wire it up. no need to completely remove the fan
