The Family Handyman

Can anyone give me a review of this magazine? I got an offer in the mail to receive The Family Handyman Home Improvement 2013 hardbound book for $10 and wanted to know if it would be worth it. Thanks.

I've been subscribing to the magazine itself for years. I keep renewing it.

On the book you're talking about......the first one is $10. It's well worth the $10.
BUt, for each year after that, I think it is around $30.

So, am I correct in assuming the book may have a lot of what the magazines have covered? If that is the case I may get the book this time and then get a subscription of the magazine if they offer a discounted rate for the first year.

I like the magazine mainly for all the neat, handy DIY tricks of the trade. You will read through it very quickly each month. I sit down and have it read in about 20 minutes time!!!

Love the magazine but have no experience with thte books unfortunately. Although I did get for Christmas a Readers Digest / Family Handyman "Complete Do-It-Yourself Manual" which is a really good reference.
