On the book you're talking about......the first one is $10. It's well worth the $10. BUt, for each year after that, I think it is around $30.

If that is the case I may get the book this time and then get a subscription of the magazine if they offer a discounted rate for the first year.

Although I did get for Christmas a Readers Digest / Family Handyman "Complete Do-It-Yourself Manual" which is a really good reference. http://www.amazon.com/Complete-Do-Yo.../dp/0762105798
