Extension Downrod for a 52" Chateau Deville Hampton Bay
I have a 52" Chateau Deville Hampton Bay ceiling fan that I need to install in my vaulted ceiling. The ceiling fan comes with a 12" downrod, but I need a need a longer one because of the characteristics of this type of ceiling.
The ceiling fan box is approximately at a 45 angle with a distance of 13 1/2 feet from the floor. What length should be the downrod I need to use to install the ceiling fan in this type of ceiling? Would a 24" downrod be good enough for it? I would really appreciate any help with this. Thanks! |

If the fan is a 52" fan as you say then from the center to the tip of a blade should be 26". for a 45 Degree cieling, the cieling mount should be 26" above the blade level of the fan at a minimum for clearance. Not knowing how tall the motor is (Ie: fan blade to down tube mount) I can't realy tell you. As I said though, you need at least 26" of total length + some more as 26" will have the tip right at the cieling if it is truely a 45 deg angle.
