Electric Fireplaces

I need to install 2 electric fireplace inserts into two existing fireplaces. I want them to be the most realistic they can be and also give off a good amount of heat. One f/p is a metal dome type sixties style, so the rectangular models won't fit in. The biggest measurment that could fit in to the dome is 12' H, 12"D, 16"L.

For the other f/p any rectangular insert could fit in that was no bigger than 26"H x 28"W.

I see fr some research that Dimplex is the most realistic, true? But what do I do for the dome
f/p? Could I use real logs and buy the elements from somewhere?

Electric Fireplaces

Any recommendations for most realistic? I'm interested in appearance, not heat.
