Dryer broken

My dryer will not start....when I hit the start button nothing happens. The door shuts properly but won't turn on. Trying to estimate repair costs versus replacing it. Anyone know the cost of this type of repair?

Not sure what kind of dryer you have so it is hard to tell you what it will cost to fix this problem. I know I had a problem similar with a dryer about a year ago and it was in the controls for the start button and it was easy to replace. It just depends on the dryer, now day they get pretty high tech on them and some time it is cheaper to replace them. If you haven't gotten this fixed yet you might let us know the brand and model of this dryer. If you did get it fixed let us know what the problem was and how it was fixed.

Sounds like it might just be the door switch. If you're handy and know anything about electric you could jump out the door switch.if the dryer works that's the problem.
