Did you try to unplug it and then try to plug it in again?

i also replaced the vent hose and cleaned all the lint out of the dryer vent area---the digital lights stay on when the dryer is not running and the alarm beeps-- but not as much as when the dryer is running

The obvious answer would be a bad buzzer switch.

ok-i don't know where the switch is located--beeper located inside control panel--can't find any manuals for dryer yet---thanks
