Driveway question...

So right before we bought our home they attached it to the city sewer system and repaved the street, which is great! Unfortunately, when they did the street they messed up my asphalt driveway. The part that goes over the drainage ditch has a huge crack in it and is pushed up like a tall, jagged speed bump, and now water won't run through it and puddles up on one side of the driveway. I don't know anything about asphalt, but Is this something I can fix on my own? Thanks!
Kelley

Actually, whoever messed it up should fix it, but it could be harder to get that to happen than fix it yourself.

You need a diamond or masonary cutting blade for a circular saw(assuming you have one). Cut the bulge and remove the material. Refill with cold mix ashphalt from the home store, tamp it well. I have a patch that I did many years ago, still tight.
