Drilling through Joist and Brick

Hello,

I am re-routing my oil fill pipe and I need to drill through the joist in the basement which butts up to cinder block then also a layer of brick.

How to I go about cutting this hole that has to be at least 1.5"?

THanks!

Use a normal hole to go through the joist then switch to a concrete hole saw.
