double glass window pane problem-

People,

I have a window with double pane-abiout 12"x14" or so, outside pane plate glass broke, and removed it from the frame. Its on the bench. Is there a good way to remove the shards of pane glass stuck to the tacky adhesive (on the inside/middle of the 2 panes) as I doont even need the double pane thing.

The shed isnt even heated/cooled. If I can remove rather cleanly, it will save me the hasle/expense of sourcing a new one..

Just figured maybe theres a better forum for this......wasnt able to find say, a window forum........just the same, any advice on this specialty type work would be appreciated!!

You can heat up taping knife(2-3") and insert it between the glass and the adhesive.
Repeat as needed.
