Door knob installation

can someone tell me how to get a kwikset door knob with internal screws to lock together? It keeps pulling apart, looks like once you align the two sides up with all the internal mechanisms there should be away to turn it to get the two screws to lock into place. Of course you cant see what you are doing at that point.

Go to the Kwikset website and download the instructions.

The internal mechanisms would be used on many finishes and styles. Look for one with the same escutcheon plate.
Generally with the ones with the plates with no visible screws, the plate would pop off so you could tighten the mechanism. You would release the knob with either a pin or a screwdriver, depending on the type of slot/hole was in the shaft under the knob. Then the escutcheon plate would come of, freeing you to install the screw plates on each side. Once this was done the plate would be installed over the screw plate and the knob would be aligned on the shaft and slid down until the knob dropped into it's release mechanism.
