DIY or Hire Someone - A Calculator

I saw this calculator for valuing one's time and determining whether to DIY or hire someone and thought I would pass it on. Not sure of the math but it is an interesting tool for valuing you time.

There is plenty of room within "DIY" to include hiring help and pro's too.
Like Dirty Harry suggested... getting help to do things you aren't able to do well enough can be very smart.
Help is also good for when you have time issues to get something done.

But the cost of these people vs how you might value your own time?
Nah. That isn't what DIY is about at all.

As an aging remodeler, I prefer to DIY, and I have the know-how. But my body is less willing to stand on a 7+ pitch roof for hours on end, so I will hire someone for that.
