Dishwasher Insullation

I need to replace the insullation around my dishwasher because of a rodent problem thats caused it to really smell. Can I use regular fiberglass insullation from Home Depot or is it necessary for me to order the high priced stuff from an appliance repair parts site?

Dishwasher Insullation

You really need to order the blanket from either the manufacturer, or local appliance repair shop. You may also be able to get it through Sears Parts, or repairclinic.com.

Dishwasher Insullation

As gregzoll said, you don't want regular fiberglass batt there, it would send out little glass slivers to the kitchen while the motor is running. Hard on the lungs- people, dogs, cats, birds, iguanas, etc. to get in the return air of furnace and give all sorts of health problems (Fiberglass is a suspected carcinogen and carries a hazard warning label).
