Different nail plates for diff applications?

Tried the search but could not find an answer to this.

I know the nail plates with the prongs are suitable for protecting cables etc but what about protection for a pipe? Do you use the same ones or is a different type required? We have some spaghetti copper pipe that probably needs to be protected as they have notched out a couple of studs and I want to put something in front of them before we drywall etc.

Thanks

Robyn

Plumbers will make a bloody awful mess and thus require plates 10X the size of what electricians use. Ask for them.
