Demo material dump costs??

Just wondering how much it is costing you to dump construction demo materials,,like OLD shingles etc,and anything prohibited there?

Found out the HARD way that a couch and chair that is upholstered is considered household garbage. They can take the material, upholstery, lumber , and metal(all individually),,,but when they put it all together its considered household garbage and NOT allowed,,,HOW screwed up is THAT??? No wonder there are so many dumped in road ditches during the night

I guess we have it good here. I can haul my 16' trailer loaded down with construction debris, as well as the truck bed full of junk, and get away for around $70 or less...Depending on weight.

Demo material dump costs??

Guess I will NOT complain on price then. $22 bucks a ton and I had a car traileer with 1 foot sides heaped up to 4' deep and it weighed ONE ton!!So 22 bucks to unload.

the kid charged me 20 bucks more and he said he would get rid of the couch and chair, mattress and box springs by hauling them over a few miles to another guy,,,sure he did,,,took the crawler after I left and covered them up I bet!!

Just wondering IF I took all the upholstery OFF the next couch so it is bare bones lumber and metal would they complain?? Or sledge hammer it to pieces of this and that?? By there definition carpet is household waste then too!!

Demo material dump costs??

Depends on the town
I moved into one house and emptied out the rather full basement, including a cobbled together workbench

The local dump (waste transfer station) refused me any means of dumping it at any cost w/o a builder's permit

On Long Island, NY, you pay that for a 10 yard dumpster. A 30 yarder is about $900. More is it's roof shingles.

Solid waste construction debris $65 per ton , shingles $50 per ton, broken paving, stone or brick $85 per ton, carpet $50 per ton. The solid waste is pro-rated ,with a minimum charge for a small amount of debris of just a few dollars.

If you are a contractor, there is also a Commercial permit fee of $30 per year.No charge for residential non-construction garbage.

Pickup truckload here-20 bucks. Same for a 10 foot trailer. All scrap has to be no longer than three feet though.

I guess I'm lucky too. We just drag anything out to the curb Tuesday morning, and its gone when we get home from work. Wood, old carpet, appliances, tires, car batteries . . . anything.

Sorry dudes...in my town it's all free!. We have transfer sites located close-by that take anything you got. It all started when the city got sick and tired of midnight dumping all over the place.

Contractors use 30 foot containers and those cost about 400$ including rental, transport and dump fees.
