dampness


why do i get dampness on my windows and walls even when i leave the window open a bit and the door open
And who is the right person to correct this problem ?

The moisture in the air is condensing on the windows and walls.

Right person to correct the problem? You. Close the windows and doors.

dampness


I think the OP was implying that they get the dampness all the time and while they would expect it to go when opening windows and doors, it doesn't.

I think, anyway...

You will need to figure out the problem why?
You need to know a few things to do this.
1. Humidity levels inside the house.
-Buy a cheap hygrometer to measure the levels.
2. What's causing the high levels?
-Whats adding to the levels in the house?
-Bathroom humidity?
-Kitchen humidity from cooking?
-Malfunctioning furnace humidifier?
-High basement humidity?
-Leak somewhere in the house
Each reason will have a remedy, but you need to determine the cause.
Is this a new issue?
How long have you lived there?
