Covering Concrete slab


Hi All

Please help!!

I have a 65 square meter concrete surface that I would love to cover,bearing in mind that it should be elegant and stylish.My plan is to create this space into an entertainment area (built in braai and the works) but first need to cover the floor space.I have,in the front,beautiful pebble paving and a garden that compliments it.

What I would want to do is to create a "rough" but yet smooth surface that's non slippery.Slate came to mind but in the long run it would chip and look awful.I then thought about using mountain pebbles(see picture)
My next option was to go for Mosaic tiling as shown below.


Please,if anyone,can advise me if the above options are feesable or maybe you have other alternatives that can be useful...Anything....

elitecrete.com - there're many others avail but this 1 has the widest availability thru licensed applicators & artisans.
