Coil Aluminum
Im going to be re-doing my soffits and facia.....Any benefit of using the PVC coated aluminum for facia, what benefits does it have, why is it better.....

house is aluminum siding, think it would look funny if i do vinyl soffits or should i stick with aluminum ( i like the way the vinyl vneted soffits look than the alumin ones)

The norm is to go with aluminum soffits the kind with little slits in them for ventalation. For fascia just the coil roll for behind the gutters on the house but for gable fascia meaning the fascia will be exposed nothing over it like gutters you want the alluminum which has the lines running down it. This type doesn't look wavey. I'm not sure on the pvc question i don't know if mine was pvc coated or not and i have never heard any on the big boys at the other forum talk about the pvc coated before.

coated aluminum is thicker gauge, which would be more ridgid for facia. I personally don't like the woodgrain on it though. It reminds me of the 80's I guess...
