CLEANING Aluminimun

We have a old houseboat and we are doing a complete refit and we are looking for a way to clean the metal with out doing any damage to the structure of the metal. Some of the studs have some mold on them and others are just plain dirty. What can we use???? Thanks for your help all info will be greatly appreciated. Cordially, Sharon

CLEANING Aluminimun

Even though am not a sailor :o I would think much of it could probably be cleaned with a fine steel wool. That would somewhat polish the surface with little damage.
