Clean concrete sand
Hi, all. Does anyone know how to test sand to see if it ok to use in concrete. I know years ago they used to put sand in a jar and shake it up and as it settled the particles separated. I thought there might be somewhere on the web that described the method but can't find any. Can anyone help?

Clean concrete sand
We just look and feel the sand. For concrete you want larger sand granules with sharp edges. For masonry work use much finer, softer feeling sand.
