Cinder Block retaining wall

New here needing some advice. I have a cinder block retaining wall across my backyard. I need to raise it some to keep the dogs in. It has a cement cap so to speak on the top. I've thought about some sort of wrought iron or metal decorative fence a couple of feet in hight but can't find any. I've also thought about adding two more rows of block but not sure if I should put them on top of the cement cap. I'm also interested in painting the wall. Any help or advice you can provide is greatly appreciated.

Thanks again,

Pop the caps off, put some rebar in and add to the block. If you just start on top ot the caps, the new section would be weak at that point.

The Borgs carry fencing and garden border material that could be installed on the capping. Unless your good at masonary, skip the adding block scenario.

Thanks for responding. Don't know of the Borgs or what it is. I think some type of 2 to 3 foot railing is what I'll do. Any ideas on design or where to get this is greatly appreciated. Also any thoughts on fastening it to my wall. Thanks in advance. Kevin
